For more than 100 years, Phipps Conservatory has awed plant and flower lovers. This "crystal palace" is one of the largest and finest Victorian glasshouses in the country. From the Japanese Courtyard Garden to the Children's Discovery Garden, bonsai, butterflies, palms, orchids, ferns and desert plants fill the thirteen display rooms. Seasonal flower exhibitions are also held throughout the year.

Phipps Conservatory is located in the Oakland section of the city and is open year round.
